The Different Divisions at The Chamber

Dillon County Chamber of Commerce in Dillon, SC is made up of smaller divisions within the organization. We have delegated tasks among the staff to ensure all matters are well taken care of. Get to know our different departments and how we can better serve you.

Resource Development

This team is in charge of preparing future, educated leaders to work within their respective communities and regions. This way, they’ll be well-equipped with knowledge when they need to make crucial decisions for their subordinates.

Member Services

This group organizes special events within the organization to mobilize our resources and achieve our financial objectives. We also hope that through planned social activities, members will get to know each other and create good will within the community.

Governmental Affairs

This division ensures that key legislation at the local, state, and federal levels are favorable to the interests and welfare of the members in our organization.

Business/Industry

They’re in charge of providing support and materials to businesses and industries to fulfill their local needs. This allows members and their respective communities can enjoy enhanced tax base, various employment opportunities, and prosperity.

Member Development

This division is in charge of ensuring the organization has a stable and substantial base and financial resources to effectively implement programs. They also ensure all positions and projects are communicated properly to the members of The Chamber, businesses, and the general public.

Special Projects

They’re in charge of reviewing the internal and external needs of the organization, and find solutions to fulfill those.

Dillon County Chamber of Commerce Dues Structure

There is a one-time processing fee of $25.00.

Membership Investment

$165.00 Base - Maximum of 5 employees.
+ $50.00 - Per Professional Employee.
+ $5.00 - For each additional employee above the maximum five.

Second Owned Business

$85.00 + $5.00 per employee (over 5 employees)

Public Utilities

$500.00 (includes water, electricity, telephone, gas, cable, etc.).

Individuals*, Non-Profit, Charities, Schools, Churches

$90.00
*Individuals - A person not engaged, in any business for profit or gain.

Membership Application

The first year's dues are payable in advance and are continious until resignation is submitted to the Board of Directors. Your investment supports the activities of the Chamber. Membership dues in the Chamber of Commerce may be tax deductible as an ordinary business expense. Dues paid to the Chamber are not a charitable tax deduction for federal income purposes, The Chamber is not a charity, but serves as an advocate organization for business purposes. Memberships, once paid, are non-refundable.

THE IRS RECOGNIZES THIS INVESTMENT AS A TAX DEDUCTIBLE BUSINESS EXPENSE.
